Bolsa de Bota

Bolsa de Bota is a brand name for bags which are handmade by young girls living in Fogueteira, a favela in the south zone of Rio de Janeiro. Bolsa de Bota is a concept of Atelier Favela. The bags are made of recycled material such as boots, jeans, ties, etc. Annelies was there to help them design a small corporate identity (CI) and information booklet for the bags. The logo was created during a workshop with the youngsters. Each letter was designed by another person. The aim of the booklet was to give more information about the bag — how it was made and by whom. The label includes a small photo reportage about the daily life of the person who made the bag.
