The workshop "Reporter voor een dag" (Reporter for a Day) was organized on the occasion of the exhibition "Reporter sem Beiras — Black Wires" in WIELS during Europalia Brazil.
A group of young people, 5th year students of the Photography department of the Royal Atheneum of Anderlecht, was asked to act as a visual reporter for one day; to report, in words and pictures, about the social reality in the neighborhood "Vorst-Forest" of Brussels.
The workshop was done in collaboration with Delputte Lode, journalist specialized in South America at "De Morgen" newspaper. Following his recent book "Braziliaanse bloei" Lode Delputte gave a brief overview of social discrimination in Brazil and its context. He also helped the youngsters with creating and editing their texts.
The result of this workshop is a newspaper "Reporter voor een dag" (Reporter for a Day). Download the publication "Reporter voor een dag".
